How can we help?
If you found a mistake in any Arabic text, translation or reference, please tell us which dhikr or page it is on. We take every report seriously.
Counting
How do I count?
Tap anywhere on the screen, or take hold of the beads and pull one across. Each deliberate pull moves exactly one bead, like a real tasbih. To undo the last bead, pull back the other way. In Settings › Counting you can choose Heavier pull, which needs a longer pull and has more resistance.
How do I reset a count?
Hold the counter still for five seconds: a ring fills around it, and the count returns to zero. You can also go to Settings › Counting › Reset current count. Each dhikr keeps its own count, so you always continue where you left off.
How do I move to another dhikr?
Swipe left or right anywhere off the beads to go to the next or previous one. Swipe up below the beads to open the full list. There are three tabs: Daily (the Sunnah daily plan), Free (any dhikr, any target, including each of the 99 Names) and My plan (your own order and counts).
How do I build My plan?
Swipe up, choose My plan, tap Add dhikr and pick any dhikr. Tap the number on a row to set how many times, and drag the ≡ handle to change the order. Press Start to begin at the top, or ▶ on any row to start there. My plan has its own progress and does not change the daily plan.
Counting without looking
Count with the Action Button (iPhone 15 Pro and later)
- Open the iPhone Settings app › Action Button, and choose Shortcut.
- Choose Habbah › Count Dhikr.
- Press and hold the Action Button. The first time, Habbah opens and asks which dhikr to count, whether you want bead sounds, and whether to buzz at the end of each set.
- Lock your phone. Each press and hold now counts one bead, until you end the session from the pill at the top of the app or in Settings › Counting › Action Button.
Count with Back Tap
- Open the Shortcuts app, tap +, search for Habbah, choose Count Dhikr and save it.
- Open Settings › Accessibility › Touch › Back Tap › Double Tap, and choose that shortcut.
- Double-tap the back of your iPhone to count a bead. The guide in Settings › Counting › Back Tap walks you through it.
Reminders and adhkar
Morning and evening reminders
Turn them on in Settings › Reminders. Habbah works out Fajr and Asr for where you are, on your phone, and reminds you after them. The calculation method is chosen automatically for your region and can be changed. If you prefer not to share your location, set the times by hand.
Making it yours
Move the counter or the beads
Hold the counter for about a third of a second until it lifts with a tick, then drag it. Or use Settings › Appearance › Counter › Adjust counter position. To move the beads, hold them still until they lift, then slide them. Use Reset counter position and Reset bead position to go back to the default places.
Bigger or smaller text
Settings › Appearance › Text has separate sizes for the Arabic and the English.
Left-handed?
Settings › Counting › Hand puts the vertical bead wheel under your left thumb, and the worlds turn around to match.
Worlds and beads
Settings › Appearance lets you pick one world for every dhikr, a world per dhikr, or a new world for each set. The same page sets the bead material, shape and size.
Your data
Where is my data, and what if I change phones?
Everything stays on your iPhone. There is no account or server. A normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) includes the app's data, so restoring a backup to a new phone brings your counts with it. Deleting the app deletes its data. See the privacy policy.
